Description
Who do you miss the most? In celebration of All Souls Day, we will light a candle in the footsteps of Jesus in honour of your loved one. The candle will be lit in celebration of them on a special place in Samaria on Sunday, November 1st, All Souls Day.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all in some way, and we are no longer able to light candles in the churches. This has presented us with the unique opportunity to light a candle for the loved one you have lost in an ancient place where Jesus walked.
Samaria is the location of many miraculous events in the ministry of Jesus. There he healed the ten lepers (Luke 17:11-19), and spoke with the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1-26). It was also a place where Jesus’ followers did many incredible deeds in the name of Jesus. In Acts 8:2 Phillip goes to Samaria, preaching and healing the sick by the power of Christ. This land holds deep and powerful spiritual significance, making it the perfect place to light a candle in memory of your loved one.
All Souls’ Day is also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead. It is a day of prayer and remembrance for the souls of those who have died. This holy day is observed by many Christian denominations. Pope Benedict the XVI said of this day, “It’s very important for us Christians to live our relationship with the dead in the truth of faith, and to look at death and the afterlife in the light of Revelation.”
We will write your loved ones name on the candle and send a short movie of all the burning candles together. We can light a maximum of 500 candles.
